Wild Iron Chef - Jackson (Grades 4-12)
Do you enjoy cooking? Have you ever wanted to compete in a cooking competition? Now, you and your Girl Scouts sisters can do just that! Join GSMW and your Girl Scout friends at Camp Open Door in the beautiful wilderness just south of Jackson Hole Wyoming.
At this weekend event, teams will compete for the 2024 Wild Iron Chef Championships. Participants will team-up with girls from all around to compete in a fun day of outdoor cooking.
Troops can team-up together, but registration numbers may result in additions to your team. If you cannot come with your troop, we can put you on a team. All girls will need to come with an adult, whether they are the troop leader or a parent.
Teams will be given a basket of food and a suggested recipe. Teams can choose to follow the recipe exactly or come up with something on their own. After learning several outdoor cooking methods, Teams will choose the methods they want to use to cook their meals.
All adult participants must be registered members of GSMW with cleared background checks. Adult participants may use this event to qualify for their Outdoor Cookout training.
Camp Open Door is a tent camp only. Participants should bring their own tents and camping supplies. GSMW will provide food and the cooking tools.
Girls, be sure to invite your friends. They can join Girl Scouts for the summer for just $25!
Registration for this event is $75 per girl and closes on July 8th.
After July 8th, your program registration is non-refundable.
