Trucks are for Girls - Douglas (Grades K-12)
GSMW, in partnership with Eastern Wyoming College and Women in Trucking, invites all Girl Scouts, their families, and friends to join us for the 4th Annual Trucks are for Girls event in Douglas!
This exciting day will offer attendees the opportunity to explore one of the most vital sectors of our economy while getting a close-up look at a variety of "big rigs," including semi-trucks, snow plows, buses, and more. The event will kick off with an inspiring guest speaker and a Q&A session. Afterward, attendees will have the chance to engage with Wyoming industry leaders and women-owned businesses in the transportation field.
The highlight of the day: Participants will be have the chance to sit in the driver’s seat, roll under to check out the engine and flip some switches in various big rigs and complete a fun scavenger hunt!
Girls will leave with a greater understanding of how the transportation industry keeps America moving and will have the opportunity to meet women who are paving the way in the field, including those from the Wyoming Department of Transportation, Converse County School District, and other women-owned businesses.
All participants will have a chance to visit with various industry professionals, ask questions and pick up some fun swag items!
As part of the event, Girl Scouts will receive an exclusive Women in Trucking patch and activity book.
Please be sure to register all Girl Scouts, adults, and tag-a-longs to help us plan for the right amount of supplies.
Registration for this event is $6 per girl and closes on September 7th.
