Sparking Curiosity - Missoula (Grades 4-12)

What does it take to fight wildfires from the sky? Come find out! Girl Scouts will get an exciting inside look at the Smokejumper Center and burn chamber while learning about wildfire science, firefighter training, teamwork, courage, and the incredible people who jump into action to protect our forests and communities.

During this unique experience, Girl Scouts will discover what it takes to become a smokejumper, learn about the specialized equipment and training used by wildland firefighters, and explore the important role smokejumpers play in wildfire response. It’s a great opportunity to spark curiosity, build confidence, and see STEM and outdoor skills in action!

Girl Scouts will receive a snack at the program, and they will take home a fun patch as a special reminder of their smokejumper adventure!

Registration for this event is $5 per girl and closes on September 23rd.
