Skills of the Wild - Polebridge (Grades 9-12)
Learn the skills of the wild in this partnership with the Glacier Institute! Held at Big Creek Outdoor Education Center, along the North Fork of the Flathead River, this unique Girl Scout camp experience is sure to amaze and engage our budding outdoorswomen!
Girls will spend their days wild-crafting, shelter-building, and food-gathering while playing nature games, hiking, and splashing. Evenings will be filled with camp traditions like songs, campfires, and SWAPS. Girl Scouts will hike in Glacier National Park where they will learn Leave No Trace principles while exploring the Crown of the Continent ecosystem with Glacier Institute naturalists.
The Big Creek Outdoor Education Center is located in the Flathead National Forest and provides some of the most diverse and beautiful terrain for a Girl Scout to explore! Girls will learn how to navigate in this environment and how to survive if they were ever to become lost and alone.
