Hue Got It! - Gillette (Grades 6-12)

During this hue-riffic event, girls will work alongside Art Honor Society students and get in-depth, hands-on learning through creation of both 2D and 3D art.  The program will take place over two days:  Saturday January 28th and Saturday February 11th.

On the first day of the program, participants will explore 3D art through carving.   Using clay, Girl Scouts will carve with organic and geometric shapes as well as patterns. These pieces ill be fired, and girls can paint them on the second day.

The 2D station will consist of watercolor on paper along with the use of salt, glue, and crayons to add texture.  Girls will experiment with blending and creating shapes.  Their final works of art can be their choice: abstract, figure drawing, or any creative inspiration.

Girls will meet at Campbell County High School each day at 1pm.  The program will end at 5pm each day.  GSMW will provide a snack each day.

Girl Scouts may bring a 6th through 12th grade friend with them, but we cannot permit younger guests.

Registration for this event is $10 per girl and closes on January 21st.
After January 21st, your program registration is non-refundable.
